Our supported initiatives span inclusive film, performing arts, sport and direct assistance for para-athletes with costs associated with training, travel and competition.
Bus Stop Films, are using film-making and the film industry to change community attitudes globally around the rights and contribution to society of and by people with disability. With a national footprint, working to build skills, confidence and social connections through our Accessible Film-making Programs. Supporting the d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent community to access employment across the arts and media sectors while working with employers to build their confidence in inclusive employment within a production life cycle.
Restless Dance Theatre is a leading creator of inclusive dance theatre, a company that brings together artists with diverse minds, bodies, and lived experiences to make powerful, boundary-pushing work for stages around the world. They are redefining what is possible in the arts and challenging perceptions of disability and creativity.
The Freedom Sports Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to breaking down barriers and creating inclusive sporting opportunities for people with disability, particularly children and underrepresented communities. Based in regional Victoria, it delivers programs such as Wheelchair AFL, Wheelchair Basketball, Para Volleyball, and All Abilities Golf across schools, communities, and workplaces, in partnership with leading sporting bodies. The foundation focuses on promoting participation, raising awareness, and building more inclusive communities through the power of sport.
The Para-Athlete Fund helps reduce the financial barriers that can come with competing in para-sport. The fund provides practical support to assist athletes with costs such as travel, accommodation, competition fees, equipment and other expenses associated with training and participation. By helping ease some of these costs, the fund aims to give para-athletes greater opportunity to compete, develop and pursue their sporting goals without financial pressure becoming an unnecessary barrier.
